Your product page is not a spec sheet

I rewrite Shopify product pages for Indian D2C beauty and wellness brands, so they answer the one thing stopping the buyer instead of listing what is in the bottle.

Most product pages describe. Buyers want a reason.

Every product page in this category is written from the same template. Here is the gap it leaves:

What the page says

  • 10% Vitamin C
  • 30 ml
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Paraben free

What she is actually asking

  • Will this work on my skin?
  • Is it going to sting?
  • Will it break me out in July?
  • Why is it 400 rupees more than the one I have heard of?

The page is not short of information. It is short of a reason.

What I do about it

I find the one objection stopping the purchase — usually sitting in your own reviews, your support inbox, or your return reasons — and rebuild the page around answering it.

Every page comes back with:

  • A headline built on the outcome, not the product name
  • The top objection answered above the fold, not buried in an FAQ
  • Five benefit bullets that survive a skim on a phone
  • An SEO title and meta description written for how people actually search
  • Formatted to paste straight into Shopify. No cleanup

Turnaround: five working days. Usually three.

Why me

I work on search, discovery and conversion at an Indian beauty and wellness marketplace, where the service pages are mine.

What happened when the words changed

34%

Add-to-cart rate
from 13%

23%

Search-to-order
from 15%

77%

Category click-through
from 28%

Same services, same prices, same photographs. Only the words and their order changed.

Three pieces you can read right now:

  • The case study behind those numbers
  • A product page rewrite for a brand selling moisturisation, when their own reviews said people buy it because it does not break them out
  • A 6,100 rupee face oil with 500 words of copy and no answer to why it costs that much

How it works

01

Send me a page

Your URL, and anything you know about who buys it. No call needed.

02

I tell you straight away

Whether I think I can move it. Sometimes your copy is fine and the problem is elsewhere. I will say so.

03

Rewrite in five days

Run it or do not. If it was the first one, there was no invoice anyway.

What it costs

The first page is free. I am building a set of measured results with D2C brands, and I would rather earn one than describe one.

After that: per page, or monthly for a catalogue. I will quote once I have seen your store, because quoting before that is guesswork.

What I will not do is promise you a percentage. I have moved a conversion number before and I can show you exactly how. What it does on your store is something we find out.

This is probably not for you if

  • You are not on Shopify — the method travels, the formatting advice does not
  • You want 40 pages next week. I am one person and I read every page before I write it
  • You want keyword-stuffed copy for a crawler. That stopped working years ago and it reads badly to humans now
  • Your problem is traffic, not conversion. Rewriting a page nobody visits will not help you

Questions people ask

Do you need a call first?
No. Send the URL. If there is something worth talking about after you have read the rewrite, we talk then.

How do you know what my customers are worried about?
Your reviews, mostly. Buyers tell you why they bought in public, and brands rarely read it back. If you have support tickets or return reasons, better still.

Will you match our brand voice?
Send two pages you think sound like you, and I will work from those.

What if I do not like it?
On the free one, nothing happens — you ignore it. After that, one round of revisions is included, and if the second version still misses, you do not pay.

Send me a page

Your store URL and the page you think is underperforming. I will reply within a day.
